Cassette + Digital Album
I inherited some of my father's vintage classical and jazz cassettes and decided to take 5 of them and tape my ADH album over each cassette's original music. Each ADH limited edition cassette is unique because it's taped over a different artist's album (and I left some of each cassette's original music on the tail of each side so you could hear the music my dad loved so much). I also included each original cassette's J card.

The images below show cassette #01. I've decided to keep this one to place on my altar, so it will not be shipped out. Please note (as stated above) each cassette is unique, so the other four cassettes are each taped over different artist's albums.

I lost my father, Anthony Dawes Howd on October 13, 2021. “ADH” is an experimental music/sound art documentation of my last moments with my father before he passed away and my mourning process over the subsequent two years following. Creating this EP has been an ongoing practice and has been integral in my being able to be fully present with my grief. Thank you for bearing witness.

(Please note, the tracks were designed for listening with headphones in order to create more of an intimate experience with the material. But, certainly, please listen any way that works best for you.)
